APTA Student Core Ambassador Spotlight

The first APTA Core Ambassador Spotlight of 2021 is on Florida Core Ambassador Jordan Park. Jordan is a second-year PTA student at Rasmussen University. Jordan began her term as Core Ambassador in November 2020 and has already been hard at work in her new role. Recently, she has been working on organizing an event for Florida SPTs and SPTAs to learn about the world of travel physical therapy! The event will be a free, one-hour webinar featuring Jess Jenney, PT, DPT, of Wanderlust PT who will be speaking about the basics of travel physical therapy, including advantages, facts, myths, and pay expectations. Because this is a virtual event, Jordan is inviting all interested SPTs and SPTAs from around the country to attend! This event will be held via Zoom on Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. ET. Happy New Year, everyone! I hope your 2021 has been off to a good start and you are looking forward to everything this new year brings. APTA Combined Sections Meeting is right around the corner! While I am sad we cannot all be together in person in Orlando, I am excited for all of the programming taking place throughout the entire month of February. This year we are celebrating APTA's 100th birthday. It is exciting to look back at how the profession has evolved over the past century as well as how we can help to shape the field in the next 100 years!
